This enduring feud continues into the modern era through Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami. Despite their ancestral enmity, the two warriors previously joined forces alongside Chizuru Kagura to form the "Three Sacred Treasures." Together, this legendary trio successfully sealed away Yamata no Orochi, a demonic entity that once terrorized the world in the form of a colossal serpent. However, the fragile peace is shattered when a clandestine organization known as NESTS emerges from the shadows. Engaging in sinister operations, the group unleashes an army of genetically engineered clones modeled after Kyo Kusanagi. As these manufactured weapons are deployed, the delicate balance of power collapses entirely.
