Steel Angel Kurumi

Set against the backdrop of Japan’s Taisho Era, the story follows Nakahito Kagura, a young priest-in-training who inadvertently discovers a hidden laboratory belonging to a scientist named Ayanokouji. Within this clandestine facility, Nakahito encounters Kurumi, a remarkable Steel Angel originally engineered for advanced military combat. When an unexpected assault by the imperial army strikes the compound, a chance collision results in an accidental kiss between the two. This unforeseen contact awakens Kurumi from her dormant state, binding her unwavering loyalty to Nakahito as her sole master. Thrust into a perilous situation, Nakahito and his newly awakened companion find themselves relentlessly pursued by military forces. The danger escalates further when Kurumi’s fellow Steel Angels, Saki and Karinka, are also brought online, adding unpredictable variables to their desperate flight. Forced onto the run alongside Professor Ayanokouji, Nakahito must navigate a treacherous path to protect those around him. As they evade their pursuers, the unlikely group embarks on a critical quest to uncover the truth behind the Angel Heart—the mysterious core that serves as the ultimate source of the Steel Angels' extraordinary power.
