Reeling from the devastating dual loss of her career and her family, Fuyumiya finds herself trapped in a profound state of despair. Seeking an escape from her overwhelming grief, she accepts an invitation from her friend Hata to spend a few quiet days retreating into the remote mountains. What begins as a simple getaway to clear her mind quickly takes an unexpected turn when the two friends lose their way in the unfamiliar wilderness. As they wander deeper into the secluded terrain, the natural landscape gives way to eerie, unexplained sights. The pair stumbles upon a series of mysterious statues standing silently among the trees, alongside a dilapidated torii gate that hints at long-forgotten traditions. Guided by these unsettling markers, their unintended detour ultimately leads them to the threshold of a small, isolated village, setting the stage for an encounter far removed from the peaceful retreat they had originally envisioned.
