The Swindler Couple of Ardel

In the decadent pleasure city of Ardel, Sue Rolanne has earned a formidable reputation as a legendary con artist capable of executing the most intricate deceptions. Her unparalleled skills attract the attention of an aloof duke who presents her with an unprecedented and dangerous commission: to orchestrate an elaborate grift targeting the king himself. Accepting this high-stakes challenge requires Sue to navigate the treacherous currents of royal politics, where a single misstep could prove fatal for both conspirators. To gain access to the exclusive circles of high society necessary for their scheme, Sue and the duke enter into a sham marriage, presenting themselves as a devoted couple to mask their true intentions. What begins as a purely transactional arrangement soon evolves into something far more complex as they immerse themselves in their fabricated roles. As the boundaries between performance and reality blur, the contract couple finds themselves entangled in a kingdom-wide deception that tests not only their cunning but also the fragile trust forming between them amidst the perilous charade.
