Ojiichan Shinanai

A pure and innocent angel descends from the heavens with a solemn duty: to guide a dying old man into the afterlife. Expecting to escort a frail, bedridden elder peacefully toward his final rest, she arrives completely unprepared for the reality of her assignment. The elderly man standing before her is anything but a typical, feeble grandfather. Instead, he proves to be remarkably vibrant, unexpectedly charming, and far more spirited than any soul she has ever been tasked with collecting. What begins as a routine celestial mission quickly spirals into a series of comedic misadventures once the angel fully realizes the kind of man she is dealing with. Her divine plans are entirely upended by his bold personality and relentless energy, leaving her struggling to fulfill her heavenly mandate. Rather than quietly accepting his fate, this charismatic senior turns the entire process into an unpredictable ordeal for his otherworldly guide. Through every attempt to usher him onward, it becomes abundantly clear that this extraordinary old man has absolutely no intention of dying anytime soon.
