Old-Fashioned Cupcake with Cappuccino

At thirty-nine, Nozue had resigned himself to a monotonous existence defined solely by work and sleep. That quiet melancholy shattered when he found unexpected happiness with Togawa, his younger subordinate. Now six months into their romance, the couple has moved far beyond innocent outings at their favorite pancake shop, deepening their bond by spending intimate nights together. However, the sanctuary of their private world is suddenly threatened by the realities of their professional environment. When an observant coworker notices Togawa wearing one of Nozue’s ties to the office, the casual slip transforms into a source of intense anxiety. The incident forces Nozue to confront the stark contrast between their hidden domestic bliss and the unforgiving scrutiny of the workplace. Plunged into doubt, Nozue begins to spiral, questioning whether a relationship between two men—complicated further by their age gap and corporate hierarchy—can truly survive in the open. What began as a sweet escape from his dreary routine now demands that he face his deepest insecurities about their future together, leaving him to wonder if the love they share is strong enough to withstand the weight of the outside world.
