Battle Through the Heavens Prequel - The Legend of Yao Lao

Serving as an official prequel to the acclaimed series Battle Through the Heavens, this narrative explores the formative years of the legendary alchemist Yao Chen. Penned by the original creator and initially released as a physical novel in 2014, the story carefully expands upon the rich lore of the universe without spoiling any events from the main series. It offers readers a focused and immersive look into the early life of the man who would eventually become known throughout the cultivation world as Yao Lao. The tale follows Yao Chen’s journey from his youth, chronicling his growth, struggles, and relentless pursuit of strength within a demanding martial world. Central to his development is the dramatic account of how he acquired his extraordinary flame, a pivotal achievement that ultimately defined his unparalleled mastery over alchemy and combat. As he navigates treacherous paths and hones his formidable abilities, the narrative weaves together personal ambition with the dangerous realities of cultivation. Adding a subtle layer of connection to the broader saga, the story also features a brief but notable cameo appearance by Xiao Yan’s mother, gently bridging the gap between Yao Chen’s origins and the destiny that awaits him in the main storyline.
