Kidou Senshi Gundam Eight

Earth, the third planet from the sun, has served as the cradle of human civilization for countless millennia. Over the ages, humanity achieved unprecedented leaps in science, biology, and technology, fostering the belief that such progress would ultimately eradicate strife and usher in an era of lasting peace and prosperity. Yet, these grand ambitions failed to secure the future of the species. By the year 2030, the very world that nurtured mankind stands on the precipice of total extinction, its promise of a utopian tomorrow shattered by forces beyond comprehension. The devastation is absolute, leaving behind a hauntingly desolate world where the thriving billions have been reduced to a mere fraction of their former glory. Across the ruined expanse of Earth, only two hundred and fifty-eight survivors remain, clinging to existence in the aftermath of an unimaginable catastrophe. Amidst this bleak landscape of near-total annihilation, a singular beacon of defiance endures. There is exactly one Gundam left—a solitary machine standing as the final instrument of hope, or perhaps desperation, for the last remnants of the human race. The fate of these few survivors now rests upon the shoulders of those who pilot this lone relic in a dying world.
