Pet

The narrative centers on a group of individuals gifted with the extraordinary ability to enter human minds and alter memories. Operating within the criminal underworld, these specialists are employed to erase evidence of accidents, conceal assassinations, and cover up a wide array of illicit activities. Their unique talents make them invaluable assets to those who operate outside the law, allowing them to rewrite the past and shield dangerous secrets from discovery. However, this invasive power exacts a devastating psychological toll. The act of dismantling another person's psyche not only shatters the victim's spirit but also slowly erodes the moral compass and emotional stability of the user. Damaged by their own abilities and unable to trust themselves, these individuals form desperate bonds with one another. They chain their fragile psyches together, relying on mutual dependence to protect their deeply insecure hearts from complete collapse. Witnessing this unsettling dynamic, ordinary people view them with a volatile mixture of dread and disdain. Rather than recognizing them as formidable figures, society strips away their humanity, dismissing them with a degrading moniker born of fear and contempt: "pets."
