In a distant future Earth, ordinary creatures have been warped into terrifying monsters known as the aetherborn. Humanity’s sole defense against these nightmarish beasts lies in mythical weapons called aetherial arms, which mysteriously emerged alongside the threat. However, these powerful artifacts are not always wielded for good. Crow Titus, a notorious slacker, discovers this firsthand when a dark magus armed with an aetherial arm orchestrates the brutal destruction of his village. As the lone survivor of the massacre, Crow stumbles upon a legendary sword named Muramasa and resolves to fight back. Unfortunately, claiming the weapon proves far more dangerous than Crow ever anticipated. Rather than serving its new master, Muramasa seizes complete control, manipulating Crow like a puppet to satisfy its insatiable hunger for souls. Now trapped within his own body, the reluctant survivor must navigate the madness of his sentient blade while attempting to play the role of a hero. To complicate matters further, Crow must also fend off the relentless romantic advances of Iris, his newly assigned mentor and a formidable magus knight. Caught between a bloodthirsty sword and an overzealous guardian, Crow struggles simply to survive.
