Something's Wrong With Us

At twenty-one, Nao has already established herself as a remarkably talented artisan of traditional Japanese confections. Following the path her mother once walked, she combines extraordinary craftsmanship with a radiant disposition, earning an invitation to join a prestigious, world-renowned sweets company. However, her promising new career takes a startling turn when she comes face-to-face with the young, striking owner of the business. Behind his cold gaze, she immediately recognizes Tsubaki—her childhood friend and first love. He is also the same boy who stood over his father’s bloodied body fifteen years ago before framing Nao’s mother for the murder. As the sole witness to that tragic night, Nao is driven by an urgent need to uncover the truth and confirm her long-held suspicions. Because Tsubaki fails to recognize her, she seizes the opportunity to infiltrate his inner circle under the guise of her new position. Yet, what begins as a calculated mission for justice quickly grows complicated. Instead of unearthing the answers she seeks, Nao finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Tsubaki’s undeniable allure, caught in a dangerous emotional conflict between her quest for the truth and her deepening feelings for the man she suspects destroyed her family.
