In One's Last Moment

Every living creature in this world is destined to experience exactly one final moment. For sixteen-year-old Mamoru Kaname, this universal truth is far more than a philosophical concept; it is an inescapable reality he witnesses firsthand. Endowed with the unsettling ability to see a person’s death simply by making physical contact, Mamoru lives a deeply isolated existence. Rather than being understood, his involuntary visions have alienated him from those around him, earning him the fearful moniker of the "Grim Reaper" among his peers. His quiet, ostracized life takes a desperate turn when he inadvertently glimpses the final moments of Kana Shiraishi, a classmate he has secretly fallen in love with. Confronted with the horrifying certainty of her impending fate, Mamoru refuses to remain a passive observer. Driven by his feelings, he resolves to do everything within his power to defy destiny and save her. However, attempting to alter what was meant to be inevitably sets into motion a chain of unforeseen consequences, forcing Mamoru to question whether fate can truly be rewritten or if some endings are inescapable.
