Mashuri no Hako

Hagiri is a quiet, isolated rural town harboring a deeply unsettling secret. Over the past thirty years, fifty-six people have mysteriously vanished from the area, a disturbing pattern that locals have learned to avoid discussing altogether. Into this uneasy atmosphere arrives Gunji, a male teacher newly assigned to the town’s high school. Tasked with serving as a class deputy and taking charge of the floral arrangement club, he hopes for a fresh start in the countryside. However, his new responsibilities quickly take a dark turn. While overseeing the club, Gunji receives a striking red flower from an elderly man who regularly donates botanical specimens to the school. He soon discovers that the beautiful bloom is highly poisonous. This seemingly simple gift marks the terrifying beginning of a nightmare, setting into motion a chain of harrowing events that will irrevocably change everything Gunji thought he knew about Hagiri Town and its buried secrets.
