Yoake no White

Mikke Akasaka is a fiercely dedicated young artist who spends his days and nights tirelessly honing his craft, driven by a singular ambition: to realize his dream of becoming a professional manga creator. His path to success, however, is complicated by the involvement of his assigned editor, Ariko Ubugami. Within the publishing industry, she carries a daunting reputation among creators, having earned the grim moniker of the "grim reaper" due to a notorious track record—every manga series she has ever overseen has ultimately been canceled. Despite the widespread apprehension her presence incites among professionals, Mikke remains entirely unfazed by her ominous standing in the community. Rather than distancing himself from an editor synonymous with failure, he finds himself unexpectedly drawn to her. Behind the intimidating title of the so-called deathbringer, Mikke sees someone worthy of affection, quietly developing a soft spot for the very woman whom the rest of the industry fears.
