Ivan serves as a lieutenant and covert operative for the Russian military. His latest assignment requires him to investigate the right-hand man of a powerful mafia boss, but his target turns out to be someone from his past: Edward, a close friend he made during their time at the military academy and hasn't seen in ten years. Ivan struggles to comprehend how a compassionate man with a deep passion for art could become entangled in organized crime. When the two reunite, Edward greets Ivan with the same warmth he showed a decade ago and invites him back to his home. However, the following morning brings a drastic shift in demeanor. Edward’s friendly facade vanishes entirely, and Ivan realizes with chilling clarity that he has been kidnapped. Set against the frigid backdrop of St. Petersburg, the story plunges into a tense psychological battle between two men now standing on opposite sides of the law. As former allies transform into ruthless adversaries, they must confront whether the bonds of friendship and love can defy fate and bridge the divide between them.
