The Perfect Relationship

Minjae appears to be the ideal son. Intelligent, attractive, and deeply considerate, he dedicates his days to caring for his adoptive father, Hyukjoon. He rises before dawn to prepare breakfast, returns home early to cook dinner, and keeps their shared apartment spotless. Driven by a genuine desire to make Hyukjoon proud, Minjae even plans to follow in his father's footsteps by pursuing a career as a teacher. To any outside observer, their domestic life seems picture-perfect, defined by devotion and quiet routine. Yet beneath this facade of familial warmth lies a chilling reality. Hyukjoon feels no pride toward the young man living under his roof, because Minjae is not truly his son. Years ago, Hyukjoon lost his real child, a tragedy that left him shattered and consumed by grief. The person responsible for that devastating loss now shares his meals and calls him father. For Hyukjoon, every act of service Minjae performs is merely a reminder of the past. Their seemingly perfect relationship is nothing more than an elaborate setup, where a dutiful son is actually a target waiting for retribution.
