Grimoire of Zero

In the year 526 of the Liturgical calendar, society lives in fear of witches and their sorcery, even though true understanding of magic remains scarce. Amidst this tense world lives a mercenary born half-man and half-beast, belonging to a race widely despised by the general populace. Consumed by a singular desire, he spends his days and nights dreaming of becoming fully human. His life changes forever when he crosses paths with a mysterious witch named Zero, who presents him with an extraordinary proposition that could finally make his deepest wish a reality. Zero offers to transform the mercenary into a human, but only if he agrees to serve as her personal bodyguard. She is embarking on a perilous quest to recover a stolen magical tome—a grimoire containing knowledge so devastating that it could unleash catastrophic ruin if it falls into the wrong hands. Bound by this pact, the unlikely pair sets out on their journey together. Though the mercenary harbors a profound hatred for witches, he must now protect one, forging a fragile alliance driven by desperation and the promise of a new life.
