Mobile Suit Gundam Katana

Set in Universal Century 0084, the Earth Federation Army establishes a specialized military unit known as Barghest, commonly abbreviated as BGST. This elite special forces division is created to address emerging threats in an era still shaped by the lingering aftermath of past conflicts. Tasked with high-stakes operations that demand precision and unwavering discipline, Barghest represents the Federation’s ongoing efforts to maintain order and project strength across its territories through highly trained operatives. Commanding this newly formed unit is Lieutenant Colonel Ito Tsurugi, a formidable officer whose leadership defines the squad's identity. Among the ranks of the entire Earth Federation military, Tsurugi stands apart due to a striking and highly unusual personal tradition: he is the only officer known to carry a katana with him at all times while on active duty. This distinctive weapon serves as both a symbol of his unique martial philosophy and a testament to his individuality within a rigid, modern military structure. As Barghest undertakes its critical missions under his command, Lieutenant Colonel Tsurugi’s unorthodox approach to warfare sets the stage for a compelling narrative where traditional honor intersects with advanced mobile suit combat.
