Orange Chocolate

Orange Chocolate is a romantic comedy steeped in traditional Japanese culture, centering on Chiro and Ritsu, next-door neighbors who have been inseparable best friends since childhood. Ritsu hails from a prestigious family of classical dancers, and as his career rapidly ascends, he is thrust into the relentless spotlight of public life. His rising fame places an unexpected strain on their long-standing bond, forcing both teenagers to navigate the shifting dynamics of a friendship tested by sudden celebrity. The story takes a supernatural turn when a seemingly innocent wish made at a local shrine miraculously comes true, leaving Chiro and Ritsu trapped inside each other’s bodies. This bizarre predicament introduces profound complications, particularly because Ritsu is far more than an ordinary performer. He has earned widespread acclaim as a celebrated onnagata—a male actor specializing in female roles—earning him the popular moniker “Courtesan Prince.” As the two struggle to adapt to their swapped lives while managing Ritsu’s demanding public persona, they must untangle the comedic and emotional consequences of their intertwined fates.
