Mother of Learning

Zorian is a teenage mage of modest origins and slightly above-average talent, entering his third year at the prestigious magical academy in the city of Cyoria. Driven and quick-tempered, he is singularly focused on securing his own future and escaping the shadow of a family that has always favored his brothers. He has no patience for idle distractions or the troubles of others, believing his time is best spent entirely on himself. However, time is precisely what fate is about to force upon him in abundance. On the eve of Cyoria’s annual summer festival, Zorian is killed, only to awaken abruptly at the start of the month, moments before boarding his train to the academy. Thrust into an endless time loop with no apparent exit, he must turn his attention both inward and outward to decipher the mystery binding him. Repetition may be the mother of learning, but survival must come first. The loop was never designed for his benefit, and hidden dangers lurk at every turn. In a world shaped by magic, even a time traveler remains vulnerable to those who wish him harm, forcing Zorian to fight simply for the chance to try again.
