H2O: Footprints in the Sand

H2O: Footprints in the Sand is a Japanese adult (18+) visual novel developed by Makura, a game development company, as well as a series of games, manga, and television anime. It is Makura's first work. The title "H2O" is derived from the first letter of the names of the three main female characters, Hayami, Hinata, and Otoha, while "Footprints" comes from the poem "Footprints in the Sand", with the first half of the poem appearing at the beginning of the anime's first episode.
