Beyond Memory

Won-Jun is a university student harboring an unusual ability: by simply touching another person, he can instantly read their emotions. Accustomed to understanding the feelings of those around him, he decides to approach Gyu-Han, a fellow student who shares his lectures. Upon learning that they graduated from the same high school, Won-Jun sees an opportunity for connection and attempts to bridge the gap between them. However, Gyu-Han proves to be an enigma. Rather than welcoming the overture, he responds with a cold, unwelcoming demeanor. More unsettling for Won-Jun is the fact that his unique gift completely fails against Gyu-Han; no matter how hard he tries, he cannot decipher the other man’s feelings through physical contact. This unprecedented barrier leaves Won-Jun entirely unmoored, unable to rely on the intuition that has always guided his interactions. Yet, instead of being discouraged by the rejection or driven away by the silence, Won-Jun finds himself deeply intrigued. Gyu-Han’s subtle reactions to his touch spark a burning curiosity that refuses to fade. Determined to unravel the mystery behind the one person whose emotions remain hidden from him, Won-Jun doubles his efforts, drawn further into a pursuit he never anticipated.
