The Girl and the Geek

Unemployed and single, Go Nanhee takes on a new housekeeping job hoping to get her life in order. Instead, she finds herself standing in the apartment of Oh Deokhoo, a man who is without question the most unkempt and obsessive nerd she has ever encountered. Her situation goes from bad to worse when one of his highly valuable action figures mysteriously disappears during her shift. Unable to afford replacing the expensive collectible, Nanhee is forced into an arrangement where she must continue cleaning his chaotic living space until her debt is fully repaid. This unexpected predicament binds together two people who exist in entirely different worlds. Deokhoo is a man whose only experience with women comes from the digital characters he encounters in video games, while Nanhee spends her time admiring glamorous celebrities on television screens. As she works to tidy his cluttered home and settle her obligation, the stark contrast between their isolated lifestyles begins to blur. What starts as a tense agreement born out of misfortune slowly opens the door to an unlikely connection, leaving both to wonder if a hardcore gamer and a starstruck dreamer might actually find genuine romance with one another.
