Umiiro March

Set against the vibrant coastal backdrop of Okinawa, Umiiro March follows the lives of young girls whose fates intertwine by the sea. At the heart of the story is Amane, a spirited girl who reaches out to her next-door neighbor, Sango, inviting her to experience the beauty of the ocean together. What begins as a simple invitation soon blossoms into a meaningful connection between the two neighbors, bound by their shared journeys to the shoreline. However, their relationship is not without its turbulence. As they spend more time together, Amane and Sango occasionally find themselves caught in stormy moods, navigating the unpredictable emotional tides that come with growing closer to someone. Yet, no matter how rough the waters become between them, their bond continually draws them back to the place where it all started. Despite the friction and shifting emotions, the two girls remain steadfast in their routine. Day after day, Amane and Sango make their way toward the Okinawan coast, finding solace and continuity in the rhythm of the waves. Their daily pilgrimage to the sea serves as both an escape and a testament to their enduring friendship, proving that even amidst emotional storms, the call of the ocean remains impossible to resist.
