Chichi no Jikan

Chichi no Jikan centers on Kyuichi Shinogi, a male university student majoring in biology who lives in an apartment near his supportive neighbor and friend, Ayaka Takarai. His ordinary life is upended when extraterrestrial visitors arrive with an ultimatum: he must raise their infant for one year, or Earth will be destroyed. Although the child appears entirely human and requires standard human care—specifically breastfeeding—the aliens dismiss Kyuichi’s biological sex as a non-issue. They provide him with a simple device capable of transforming his body into a female form at the press of a button, conveniently resulting in a well-endowed physique suited for nursing. Despite her understandable confusion and discomfort regarding the bizarre circumstances, Ayaka steps in to help Kyuichi navigate the overwhelming challenges of sudden parenthood. Together, they tackle unfamiliar tasks such as purchasing a breast pump, visiting a maternity clinic so Kyuichi can receive a massage to relieve engorgement, and bathing the baby. Rather than succumbing to panic, Kyuichi approaches the extraordinary situation with academic curiosity, finding himself genuinely fascinated by the biological realities of his transformed body and the intricate process of raising the alien child.
