Giant Cinderella

Makoto Saotome is a high school student who stands out in every crowd, not for her academic achievements or social standing, but for her unusually tall stature. Navigating the everyday challenges of adolescence is difficult enough, but Makoto’s exceptional height makes her feel even more isolated from her peers. Like any young woman, she quietly harbors romantic dreams and hopes to experience a fairy-tale love story of her own. This one-shot reimagines the classic Cinderella tale through the lens of a modern high school setting, centering on a heroine whose physical presence defies traditional expectations. As Makoto goes about her daily life, she grapples with the question of whether someone will ever look past her imposing figure to see the person beneath. Her journey explores themes of self-acceptance and the universal desire for connection, asking whether a girl who towers over everyone around her can still find her perfect match. Ultimately, Makoto's story poses a heartfelt question: will this towering high school student ever find her prince?
