Yokokuhan: The Copycat

A mysterious terrorist group known as "Shinbunshi" captures public attention by punishing wrongdoers and broadcasting their vigilante acts across the internet. Deeply influenced by these radical actions, high school student Takeru Hanaoka decides to follow in their footsteps. Teaming up with his childhood friend Sota Endo and classmate Kyoko Nishizawa, Takeru forms a copycat faction determined to carry out their own brand of digital justice. Operating under the guise of righteous retribution, the trio begins extorting money from the public in exchange for targeting evildoers, meticulously documenting and distributing every punishment online. Their bold campaign quickly earns them widespread notoriety, transforming the three students into celebrated heroes within the digital world. Even after the original Shinbunshi group is dismantled and its members perish, the copycats refuse to abandon their mission, continuing their vigilante activities with growing audacity. However, their escalating online presence inevitably draws unwanted scrutiny. As their self-appointed crusade pushes further beyond the boundaries of the law, the police launch a formal investigation into the trio, forcing the young imitators to confront the dangerous reality of the path they have chosen.
