Complex Age

To the outside world, twenty-six-year-old Nagisa Kataura appears to be nothing more than an ordinary temporary office worker. Beneath her unassuming professional attire, however, lies a deeply guarded secret: she is a passionate and highly dedicated cosplayer. Through relentless effort and remarkable creativity, she has earned the genuine admiration and respect of her fellow cosplay enthusiasts, thriving in a community that celebrates her artistry. Despite her success within this niche circle, Nagisa remains acutely aware that mainstream society often views her hobby as a frivolous fantasy. To avoid judgment, she meticulously maintains a strict boundary between her everyday adult responsibilities and her vibrant creative pursuits. Yet, sustaining this delicate double life proves increasingly difficult. As the expectations and pressures from both her professional routine and her beloved craft continue to mount, the walls separating her two identities begin to close in. Ultimately, Nagisa faces an unavoidable crossroads, forcing her to confront a deeply personal dilemma: whether to embrace the authentic joy of her cosplay or conform to societal standards of normalcy.
