Legend has it that discovering a Japanese maple leaf with eight tips guarantees everlasting love. When a popular high school actress arrives at the protagonist’s school to film a movie based on this very myth, he quickly develops a crush on her. One afternoon after classes, he unexpectedly crosses paths with her and helps her evade some persistent staff members who are chasing her down. During their encounter, she reveals a surprising secret: having launched her acting career immediately after middle school, she lacks any real romantic experience, and this deficiency is actively hindering the film's production. To remedy the situation, she boldly invites him out on a date to learn what genuine romance feels like. In a separate story, Daichi is an ordinary teenage boy with little experience around girls whose life takes a dramatic turn following his mother's remarriage. He suddenly gains a new stepsister, who happens to be none other than Asano Nanami, a wildly famous idol. Thrust into an unfamiliar dynamic, Daichi must figure out how to navigate his new reality when the two of them end up alone together, especially since Nanami wants absolutely nothing to do with him.
