The Warashiki Zawarashiki

The Warashiki Zawarashiki is a One-shot originally published in a Japanese magazine. A lone student resides in a dilapidated dormitory, where squalid living conditions have become unbearable. As the student prepares to vacate the premises, he is deterred by a zashiki warashi, a mythical creature from Japanese folklore said to inhabit traditional Japanese homes. This warashi is deeply concerned about its own fate and the well-being of the old building, which she has grown to call home.
