Koisuru Melody Musume

Koisuru Melody Musume is a romance anthology centered on high school heroines whose lives intertwine with music and unexpected love. Chiaki, known by her DJ alias "Cool," never anticipated falling for the top nightclub DJ in the city. Meanwhile, Mizue, a talented pianist who goes by "Sou," finds herself captivated by her enigmatic music professor. Guitarist Hinano, nicknamed "Demi," faces heartbreak when her boyfriend dumps her for not being his type—he prefers sexy women over cute ones. However, her daily mail carrier harbors a secret nightlife persona; beneath his bleached-blonde hair lies a rock musician who takes the stage after dark, though such men are far from Hinano's preference. The collection also follows seventeen-year-old Aoi, who struggles to conceal her abnormally large appetite from her classmates. She learned the hard way how devastating exposure can be when her crush, Kousaka, witnessed her eating ravenously one night and abruptly stopped speaking to her. Now, during a class trip accompanied by friends, she discovers Kousaka is among them, leaving her terrified that he might reveal her secret or still harbor resentment. The volume concludes with a bonus comic about installing a cat door. Notably, the original Hakusensha edition features Mizui on the cover, while the later Kadokawa release highlights Hinano in a gothic-lolita style alongside her musician partner.
