Though initially reluctant, Fukuzawa finds himself taking the brilliant boy under his wing. Their partnership is immediately tested when they are assigned to protect a local theater that has been placed on high alert following a bizarre and unsettling death threat. Surviving this perilous assignment demands a seamless combination of Ranpo’s extraordinary intellect and Fukuzawa’s seasoned combat experience. The fallout from this harrowing case leaves a lasting impact on Fukuzawa, ultimately inspiring him to establish the Armed Detective Agency.
