Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest Zero

Long before Hajime was ever summoned to the world of Tortus, the Synergist Oscar Orcus was living a quiet, unassuming life. Content to keep his head down and focus on his craft, Oscar worked tirelessly as an ordinary artisan with a single noble purpose: earning enough money to support a local orphanage. He had no interest in grand adventures or heroic destinies, preferring the safety of his daily routine over the unpredictable dangers of the wider world. However, his peaceful existence is abruptly shattered when Miledi Reisen crashes into his life with a reckless and impossible proposition. She demands that Oscar join her on a perilous quest to wage war against the gods themselves. Naturally, he flatly refuses, wanting absolutely no part in such a suicidal endeavor against divine beings. Yet, despite his desperate attempts to remain on the sidelines, avoiding trouble proves far more difficult than anticipated. When the very danger he sought to escape comes knocking directly at his door, Oscar is dragged into a conflict he never asked for, forcing him to fight for survival long before the events that would eventually reshape Tortus unfold.
