The Poe Clan: Dream of Spring

Set against the backdrop of Wales in 1944, as the Second World War rages across Europe, Dream of Spring opens a new chapter in the enduring saga of Edgar and Alan, two teenage vampires bound by eternity. Their fragile existence is soon disrupted by the arrival of familiar faces from their past. Among them are Falka, a charismatic vampire whose nature shifts unpredictably between warmth and menace, and Chloe, an emissary dispatched from the Village of Poe. Chloe harbors a dangerous hunger for power and covets the exceptionally rich blood Edgar possesses—a rare gift bestowed upon him by the King himself. Other enigmatic figures also emerge from the shadows, complicating the boys' precarious lives. While navigating this treacherous immortal underworld, Edgar inadvertently draws the attention of his mortal neighbors: sixteen-year-old Blanca and her younger brother, Noah, Jewish refugees desperately hoping to reunite with their parents. Meanwhile, Alan grows increasingly isolated. Kept ignorant of vampire society's inner workings and entirely dependent on Edgar, he succumbs to jealousy, anger, and despair. Yet for both mortals and immortals alike, unseen forces and inevitable fates loom just beyond their control, threatening to reshape their intertwined destinies.
