God of Mountains and Jujube

Xiaozao is a young woman burdened by a terrible affliction: she inadvertently brings misfortune to everyone around her. Unable to live a normal life among others, she is forced to seek refuge in the remote God of Mountains Temple. This sacred sanctuary is not merely an abandoned shrine, but the true dwelling place of a living deity—the God of Mountains himself. Upon taking up residence, Xiaozao comes face to face with the divine being and realizes that their paths have crossed before. She recognizes him from a brief encounter during her childhood, leading her to suspect that this very god is the source of the curse that has plagued her existence. What begins as a tense dynamic between a cursed girl and the immortal who may have doomed her soon takes an unexpected turn. As they spend more time together within the quiet walls of the temple, animosity gives way to affection, and the two gradually fall deeply in love. Yet, as their bond strengthens, hidden truths begin to surface. The origins of their connection reach far deeper into the past than either of them realized, revealing that their love story began long before they ever understood its true beginning.
