Gakusei Shoujo

Gakusei Shoujo is a music-inspired fantasy light novel that follows a protagonist thrust into a perilous supernatural bargain. Bound by an ancient pact originally forged with the legendary Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, a devil transports the main character back in time to the 1800s. The demon reveals the true nature of Goethe’s request: the protagonist's body is to be exchanged with the historical figure's, allowing Goethe's soul to be implanted into the protagonist's vessel and gradually seize control. As a direct consequence of this metaphysical swap, the protagonist gains full access to Goethe’s memories and vast knowledge, blurring the lines between their own identity and that of the literary genius. However, this extraordinary gift comes with a terrifying ultimatum. The devil intends to claim Goethe’s soul—which now resides within the protagonist's original body—the exact moment the protagonist experiences a state of ultimate bliss and declares a desire for time to stop. Trapped in the nineteenth century and burdened with another man's mind, the protagonist must navigate a world defined by music and history while constantly guarding against overwhelming joy. A single moment of perfect happiness could trigger the final clause of the pact, sealing their doom forever.
