Kyou mo Uchi de Machiawase

In the aftermath of a devastating fire, a middle-aged man finds his life unexpectedly intersecting with that of a struggling single mother and her young son. Left without a home by the disaster, the two are encountered by the man at a local convenience store during what appears to be an ordinary moment in a deeply unsettled time. However, this chance meeting quickly becomes far more significant than a simple exchange between strangers navigating the fallout of a tragedy. Upon seeing the woman and her child, the man is struck by a profound sense of familiarity. Her features stir long-buried memories, pulling him back over a decade into the past to someone he once knew intimately. The resemblance is too striking to dismiss as mere coincidence, forcing him to confront unresolved feelings and lingering questions from a chapter of his life he believed was firmly closed. As he wrestles with the possibility that this homeless mother might be connected to his history, he faces a quiet but powerful dilemma: whether to step forward and bridge the gap of ten years, or remain a silent observer in the wake of the fire that has brought them together once more.
