Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Shinji Ikari Detective Diary

When even a tough classmate like Toji finds himself targeted and threatened by dangerous gangsters, the ordinarily gentle Shinji Ikari feels compelled to take action. Determined to help his friend, Shinji seeks out the assistance of Ryoji Kaji, a seasoned local private investigator known for handling difficult cases. Working alongside Kaji is his striking young assistant, Kaworu Nagisa, whose presence immediately catches Shinji’s attention. However, instead of simply handing the case over to the professionals, Shinji unexpectedly finds himself drawn directly into the investigation. With Kaworu acting as his partner, the reluctant student is thrust into the role of an amateur detective, forced to navigate a perilous criminal underworld far beyond his usual experience. As the two work together to unravel the mystery surrounding the gangsters menacing Toji, their partnership deepens under pressure. Yet, the deeper they delve into the case, the more Shinji realizes that his new companion is far from straightforward. Beneath Kaworu’s helpful exterior lies an enigma of his own, hinting at secrets that may prove just as complex and dangerous as the criminals they are trying to stop.
