Bitter Like Light

A spinoff of A Like a Sugar, Bitter Like Light centers on the enduring romance between Morisaki and Taguchi. Cheerful and gentle by nature, Morisaki has been romantically involved with his cool, reserved counterpart since their high school days. Over the years, the two have navigated various challenges together, ultimately forging a strong and happy partnership. However, despite the depth of their bond, they have yet to take the step of officially sharing a home. This comfortable status quo is suddenly called into question when their close friends, Yoshimura and Shima, decide to move in together midway through their college years. Witnessing this milestone prompts Morisaki and Taguchi to reflect on the trajectory of their own relationship. As they observe their friends taking such a significant leap forward, the couple begins to wonder if it might finally be time to envision a shared future under one roof. This thoughtful exploration of young love and commitment is complemented by a special bonus story featuring an intimate encounter between Morisaki and Taguchi during a relaxing trip to the hot springs.
