Mio Hagiwara, a 14-year-old teen actor, is head over heels in love with her neighbor, Morimoto Teruomi. When she lands a role in a short drama, she's thrilled to learn that Teruomi will also be starring in it, but her excitement is short-lived as she's cast as the antagonist again, opposite her friend Sawagi Aya. Matters take a turn for the worse when she meets Kumagai Ichiya, who brutally critiques her acting skills, setting off a chain of problems for Mio.
