A Story of Seven Lives

Across the unforgiving streets of Tokyo, countless stray cats fight daily for survival. Nanao was not always among them; he once lived a comfortable life as a house cat until tragedy forced him into the harsh realities of the outside world. Now navigating life on his own, his only companion and ally is Machi, a fellow stray who helps him endure the challenges of their environment. Together, they scavenge and struggle through a city that offers little mercy to those without a home. Everything begins to shift when a pair of humans starts leaving food for the neighborhood strays. Though naturally wary, Nanao slowly forms a cautious bond with these unexpected benefactors—a brother and sister who operate a local bathhouse. However, beneath their kindness lies a shared burden of personal struggles and emotional scars. As Nanao draws closer to the siblings, a profound connection develops, raising the question of whether this resilient cat might help mend their broken spirits while simultaneously discovering a place to finally belong again. A Story of Seven Lives is a deeply moving exploration of family, resilience, and the quiet power of healing.
