Following the birth of the prophesied Hero, Sacred—the youngest priest in the church—is assigned an unusual and perilous duty. He is dispatched to maintain an abandoned chapel situated directly across from the Demon King’s Castle. This remote sanctuary is intended to serve as a vital resting point for the Hero during their impending quest to vanquish evil. However, rather than simply preparing the grounds for a legendary journey, Sacred finds himself thrust into an unexpected proximity with the very darkness the Hero is destined to fight. This close quarters arrangement sparks an unlikely relationship between the devoted young priest and the fearsome Demon Lord. As their interactions unfold, questions begin to surface regarding the wisdom of the church's decision. Was Sacred truly chosen for this assignment because he possessed the right abilities to handle such a delicate situation, or was his placement a grave miscalculation? What begins as a quiet vigil at the edge of enemy territory soon threatens to escalate, leaving the fate of the nation hanging in the balance as their encounter teeters on the brink of unleashing unforeseen chaos.
