Gelateria Supernova

Tomoaki’s connection with a stranger begins on an online dating platform, where both men remain entirely anonymous, known to each other only by unremarkable usernames. Their arrangement is straightforward and purely physical: they meet at Supernova, a local neighborhood gelato shop, before walking together to Tomoaki’s apartment for casual encounters. What starts as a simple, no-strings-attached routine soon begins to shift in ways neither of them originally planned. As their meetings continue, Tomoaki finds his feelings unexpectedly changing. The detached nature of their arrangement gives way to a growing emotional attachment, leaving him anxious and uncertain about where he truly stands. He becomes increasingly worried that he is the only one being drawn deeper into this evolving dynamic, fearing that his partner remains indifferent to the shifting boundaries between them. Unable to resist these unfamiliar emotions, Tomoaki struggles to navigate the vulnerability of wanting more from someone whose true identity and intentions remain hidden behind a screen name. Set against the backdrop of the neighborhood gelateria, their story unfolds as a bittersweet tug-of-war between two hearts, balancing the sweetness of newfound affection with the bitter uncertainty of unrequited depth.
