In the wake of a difficult divorce, the Oonishi family is left to rebuild their lives from the ground up. Without a father present in the household, a mother and her three children must navigate the harsh realities of their new circumstances together. Financial hardship looms large over their daily existence, stripping away basic comforts and leaving them without even a functioning shower in their home. Every day becomes a quiet struggle for survival as they adapt to a drastically reduced standard of living, facing the emotional and practical challenges that follow the sudden dissolution of their family unit. Tenohira Size chronicles this deeply personal journey through eight interconnected stories that capture the intimate, day-to-day experiences of the Oonishi family. Rather than focusing on grand dramatic events, the manga explores the small, poignant moments that define their resilience in the aftermath of separation. Through these vignettes, the narrative highlights the unspoken bonds between the mother and her children as they support one another through poverty, loss, and uncertainty. Together, they forge a fragile but enduring path forward, finding strength in each other despite the overwhelming hardships that surround them.
