Silent Voice

Imai is a dedicated member of his baseball team who has found himself captivated by Hikita, a younger and notably awkward teammate. Despite his clumsiness, Hikita works tirelessly during practice, earning Imai’s quiet admiration. However, Hikita has an unusual habit: whenever he becomes nervous, his anxiety manifests as an intense glare that unsettles those around him. While the rest of the team misinterprets this expression, Imai sees past it entirely, finding the younger boy's flustered demeanor irresistibly endearing. Beneath his composed exterior, Imai harbors a secret fascination, convinced that he alone recognizes Hikita’s hidden allure. Driven by this private infatuation, he begins to maneuver closer to the younger player, adopting the role of a supportive senior teammate. He offers guidance and looks after Hikita with the attentive care expected of an experienced club member, slowly building trust between them. Yet, this mentorship is merely a carefully constructed facade. Behind every encouraging word and protective gesture lies Imai’s true, unspoken desire—an overwhelming urge to strip away the distance between them and finally touch Hikita’s bare skin.
