Nightmare Funk

Kurusu Hiyori is a young police officer and the daughter of a former police chief, burdened with a harrowing curse: she experiences prophetic dreams that reveal murders destined to occur the following day. Tragically, her very first vision depicted the death of her own father. Over time, this unsettling ability has left her socially isolated and branded with a grim reaper reputation among her peers. Her superiors are deeply frustrated by her tendency to rush off investigating crimes that have not yet happened, and despite her desperate efforts, she has never managed to save a single life. The psychological toll has even resulted in chronic bedwetting, compounding her professional and personal struggles. Everything changes when Hiyori dreams of the assassination of Claus Haida, an eerie foreigner. For the first time, she successfully intervenes and saves his life, leaving her overjoyed. However, she soon discovers that Claus is far from ordinary—he harbors a monstrous nature of his own. Employed by a mysterious foreign corporation, he proposes an alliance, arguing that their partnership would be mutually beneficial. While his resources and abilities prove undeniably useful, Hiyori must grapple with a difficult moral dilemma: can she truly join forces with someone so dangerous? This volume also includes the one-shot "Akumu Imouto! Umaru-chan."
