Living with Romeo

After three years away at college, Sol finally returns home expecting a familiar welcome. Instead, she discovers that her mother, Mi-ae, has taken in a young man named Romi Oh as a housemate. Shocked by the unexpected living arrangement, Sol initially assumes Romi must be her mother’s new boyfriend. Upon learning the truth—that they are merely sharing the residence—Sol finds herself reluctantly moving back in with them both, despite harboring an immediate and intense dislike for their male roommate. To Sol, Romi embodies everything she despises: he is unapologetically brazen, entirely too carefree, and seemingly oblivious to boundaries. She makes no effort to hide her disdain, convinced that his laid-back attitude clashes fundamentally with her own sensibilities. The tension between them turns the household into an uncomfortable environment where Sol feels constantly on edge. Yet, prolonged proximity begins to shift something within her. As the days pass under the same roof, the sharp edges of Sol's resentment start to blur. Against her better judgment and initial hostility, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to the very person she swore to avoid.
