Odd Taxi

Kodogawa is a humble, solitary cab driver who lives a quiet and somewhat eccentric life. With no family to speak of and a deliberate distance from others, he finds comfort only in listening to rakugo before bed and tuning into the radio during his shifts. His social circle is remarkably small, limited to his family doctor, Tsuyoshi, and an old high school classmate named Kakihana. Each night behind the wheel, Kodogawa transports a diverse array of peculiar passengers. His fares include Kabasawa, a university student desperate for fame; Shirakawa, a nurse harboring a hidden secret; Homo Sapiens, a struggling comedy duo; Dob, a street thug; and Mystery Kiss, a wildly successful idol group. Though his exchanges with these individuals initially appear to be nothing more than idle taxi chatter, they gradually reveal deeper connections. Piece by piece, the seemingly unrelated conversations begin to intertwine, ultimately drawing the unassuming driver into a complex mystery surrounding a missing girl.
