I'm Not the Overlord!

After unexpectedly reincarnating into another world, the protagonist is horrified to discover he has been reborn as the Demon King Overlord with an apparent mandate to annihilate humanity. The situation escalates catastrophically when a single accidental energy blast obliterates a thousand human soldiers, an incident he insists was caused by a malfunctioning relic rather than malicious intent. Although he desperately tries to explain that this massacre was a tragic misunderstanding and pleads for harmony, his overwhelming power makes diplomacy nearly impossible. Frustrated by constant provocation and the world’s refusal to see his true self, he occasionally lashes out with devastating force, inadvertently validating the very evil persona he wishes to escape while continuing to insist that he is not the tyrant history will remember.
