Oh, Those Hanazono Twins

Tatara Tani is an unremarkable student whose only distinction is his close childhood bond with the Hanazono twins: Yuriko, a wildly popular idol, and Ranko, a fashionable trendsetter. As his classmates, their enduring friendship with such an ordinary boy provokes intense envy among their peers. Tatara believes his luck has finally changed when Yuriko invites him to an amusement park, despite strict prohibitions against idols dating. To circumvent these rules, she disguises herself as her twin sister Ranko, hoping to enjoy a normal outing without being recognized by the public or her agency. However, the deception unravels when school authorities discover the ruse, threatening Yuriko’s carefully maintained career and reputation. In a desperate bid to protect her sister from scandal, the real Ranko steps in with an unexpected solution: she will pretend to be Tatara’s girlfriend herself. This impromptu arrangement transforms a simple cover-up into a chaotic romantic comedy, as Tatara finds himself entangled in a web of mistaken identities and fabricated relationships. What begins as a rescue mission quickly spirals into a series of comedic misunderstandings, forcing all three to navigate the complexities of fame, friendship, and unintended romance.
